Hippie Radio’s Midday Show is hosted by a true Nashvillian. Pam Case was born less than a mile from Hippie Radio’s Music Row studios, and never strayed too far. She knew early on she would be on the radio one day, practicing her “DJ voice” on a tape recorder her daddy gave her one year as a Christmas present.
By age 16, Pam was spinning country music tunes at her hometown radio station in Lebanon, TN, working her way thru college and beyond with various on-air radio gigs around middle Tennessee. In those days, Pam didn’t miss a touring concert when they came through Nashville, which explains her deep-rooted love for all things “Hippie Radio” like Simon & Garfunkel to Chicago, Elton John to Earth, Wind & Fire and The Eagles.
Television also became a passion for Pam, following graduation from Middle Tennessee State University with a mass communications degree in radio, TV & film. An award-winning producer for both short films and local TV production, Pam was presented a Regional Emmy Award for a program she produced for Nashville’s CBS affiliate.
With 20+ years in broadcasting, what does Pam call her greatest accomplishment in the media business?
Meeting the love of her life, Joe Case, while working on the same TV talk show.
Joe co-hosted. Pam was his producer. Joe also happens to be Hippie Radio’s weather specialist. Pam and Joe have been married over 30 years and have three grown children, plus two beautiful grandsons. Health and wellness is a priority for Pam. She loves spending time with her family, that includes two “fuzzy members” named Harley and Hershey.
